The difference between Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash
18.05.2021
Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash share the same white paper, the same supply, the same mining algorithm and the same reward system. This is because Bitcoin Cash was once a part of the Bitcoin blockchain. However, 4 years ago it was created as altcoin and went solo on the market.
Bitcoin cash (BCH) is a so-called fork of Bitcoin (BTC). But what does that mean?
A fork (altcoin) is created when the original code of a blockchain is updated, but only some of the nodes on the blockchain accept the update. In this process, Bitcoin remained the same, with the small block size of nodes, while the updated, bigger nodes separated from the original and created a Bitcoin Cash.
Although Bitcoin, as the first cryptocurrency, is a lot more famous, there are still many similarities between these two. Both cryptos have their own blockchain and aim to be a worldwide accepted digital currency, which, for now, successfully goes in that direction. Also, as pretty much every cryptocurrency, both Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are mainly created through crypto mining.
As you can see from our infographic price comparison, Bitcoin is 33.37 times higher than the price of Bitcoin Cash. This is no surprise because, as we have already mentioned, Bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency (it was launched in 2008).
However, we should not underestimate the power of Bitcoin Cash. Recently, the BCH/YTD growing trend is much higher. So, maybe all that this cryptocurrency needs is some time to grow. We are excited to see how this race will go.

Advantages of Bitcoin Cash
One of the main advantages of Bitcoin Cash is that it is cheaper and faster to use. This is allowed due to the bigger block size of nodes. However, Bitcoin improves every day and these features may soon apply to it as well.As you can see from our infographic price comparison, Bitcoin is 33.37 times higher than the price of Bitcoin Cash.
